Social responsibility is at the core of Loyola’s mission. The college’s outreach programs, managed by the Department of Service Learning, extend beyond academia and immerse students in the lives of 43 neighbouring communities. These programs promote equality, justice, and sustainability through initiatives such as skill development for women, support systems for senior citizens, scholarships for meritorious students, and revolving funds for widows. Loyola’s outreach efforts have been recognized by the High Court of Madras-Madurai Bench as a model for other institutions.

The college’s Resource Centre for Differently Abled (RCDA), established in 2006, empowers students with disabilities through mobility aids, assistive devices, and employment opportunities. Initiatives like the Give Life Cafe, which provides part-time work for economically disadvantaged students, reflect Loyola’s commitment to fostering self-reliance and dignity.
